ACCOMPANIMENT

Vocal Coaching and Lesson Accompaniment 

Anna has been working closely with singers since her time at the Royal Northern College of Music, developing a deep understanding of vocal collaboration and interpretation. Her extensive experience led to her being selected as a Leeds Lieder Young Artist in both 2018 and 2023. She also regularly accompanies the teaching studio of Deborah Rees, supporting singers in their lessons.

 

In addition to accompaniment, Anna offers coaching sessions for singers, providing musical, stylistic, and performance guidance to help them refine their artistry and confidence.

Choir Accompaniment

Active in the North West region, Anna enjoys her role as the rehearsal pianist of Macclesfield Male Voice Choir, Audley Male Voice Choir and Prestbury Choral Society. Her past experience with various choirs is listed as below.

Exam and Competition Accompaniment

Anna plays for different singing and instrumental students in various exams such as ABRSM and Trinity, in face to face and recording setting. She is delighted to be one of the staff pianists of Junior RNCM.

Chamber Organ and Harpsichord

Under the tutelage of Roger Hamliton, Anna learned basso continuo playing and formed Lucrezia Trio with soprano Caroline Taylor and cellist Mario Castelló Córdoba. They won the RNCM Brodsky Ensemble prize in 2017. 

 

Anna performed in RNCM Baroque Concert in 2017 and 2018, her repertoire includes Leçon de Tenébre no. 3 by Couperin, Noël sur les instruments by Charpentier, Chaconne from Roland by Lully and Sonata in G minor (no. 6 from 10 Sonatas in 4 parts) by Purcell.

After graduation, Anna played J.S. Bach Singet dem Herr ein neues Lied and Mozart Requiem for Hong Kong Youth Choir. In her France debut during St. Gaudéric Music Festival, she participated in Handel Messiah Concert.

​Trio

Joining clarinetist Johanna Leung and saxophonist Alvin Wong, Tricola Trio was formed in 2024 with Anna on piano. The group explores a wide range of music, from original transcriptions of Baroque masterpieces to contemporary works and pop arrangements. They have already captivated audiences with performances in Blackburn and Didsbury, and are scheduled to appear in Preston and Rochdale later this season.

With a commitment to crafting unique arrangements and delivering engaging, high-energy performances, Tricola Trio offers a fresh take on familiar repertoire while introducing new, innovative sounds. Dedicated to connecting with listeners, the ensemble creates memorable musical experiences that transcend genres and boundaries.
