One to One Piano Teaching

Anna completed her PGCE Secondary – Music with Specialist Instrumental Teaching at Manchester Metropolitan University with Distinction and was awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). She also trained in a range of pedagogical approaches—including the Kodály Method and Dalcroze Eurhythmics—through her studies in Practical Pedagogy at the RNCM. This strong foundation enables her to teach piano with both expertise and dedication, helping students achieve a high level of musical understanding and performance.

Since 2013, Anna has been offering private piano lessons to students ranging from age four to adult, from complete beginners to ABRSM Grade 8 level. Her teaching covers score reading, technique, aural skills, and musicianship, while also nurturing an appreciation of the beauty of music. She is passionate about building her students’ confidence and enjoyment, ensuring that learning the piano is both rewarding and inspiring. Many of her students have achieved excellent results in their graded exams. Anna is fluent in both English and Cantonese, and adapts flexibly to the needs of students from different backgrounds.

Believing strongly in the value of performance experience, Anna organises student concerts twice a year, giving her pupils the opportunity to develop confidence, stage presence, planning skills, and resilience.
